Musings: Biblical Mnemonics

Have you ever found it hard to remember important things - Mnemonics are great to help remember information - the meaning of the word is just "assisting or intended to assist memory". Below are some biblical mnemonics/rhymes to help remember important facts/truths from the Bible:

The Twelve Disciples

This is the way the disciples run:
Peter, Andrew, James and John,
Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas next,
Matthew and then James the less,
Judas the greatest, Simon the zealot
And finally, Judas the traitor

The Ten Commandments
  1. Thou no gods shalt have before me
  2. Before no idol bend the knee
  3. Take not the name of God in vain
  4. Do not the Sabbath day profane
  5. Give thy parents honour due
  6. Take heed that thou no murder do
  7. Abstain from words and deeds unclean
