Making money serve grace
Dethroning Mammon is Archbishop Welby’s book for Lent where
he looks at the subject of money and materialism. This book is a chance to reflect on the
impact of our own attitudes and of the pressures that surround us and on how we
handle money and the power it can give us.
Throughout the book we are asked to reflect on who will be
on the throne of our lives and what will we put our faith and trust in - and
what brings us truth, hope and freedom – money or our relationship with Jesus?
In his book Archbishop Welby challenges us to use Lent as a
time of learning to trust in the abundance and grace of God.
